Q. How do I access databases that give me a security error?


I'm sorry to hear you are having access issues with our databases - we have heard similar reports from some students, although it is not affecting everyone.  My hope is that one of these three things will resolve this:

  1. Try using a different browser, and see if the problem persists.  
  2. Please try updating your Chrome browser:  Click the three vertical dots at the upper-right, select Settings, then click "About Chrome" at bottom left.  This should update to the latest version.  Then, try clearing your cache and cookies:  Again under Settings, scroll down in the middle of the page and click "Clear browsing data."  Close Chrome, then reopen and try your search again.
  3. If you have Firefox, try clicking the three horizontal lines at the upper-right and selecting New Private Window.  Does this help?
